Janice Meyer is a licensed physical therapist in both New York and New Jersey and is distinguished as a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). Janice works with a variety of sports injuries and post-operative patients, such as rotator cuff repairs and ACL injuries, in addition to general debility and chronic diagnoses. She also has specialized training in manual interventions with the Institute of Advanced Musculoskeletal Treatments and is a credentialed Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT). Janice enjoys working with a broad spectrum of clients to help achieve tailored goals through physical therapy interventions. As a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), she can create an individualized rehabilitation program that caters to your goals while also providing insight and education in proper form and exercise dosing to optimize outcomes. Motivated to stay up-to-date on current methods and trends in physical therapy, Janice frequently takes continuing education courses including topics such as trigger point dry needling and extremity mobilizations.
Janice completed her undergraduate studies at Emory University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology. She then went on to NYU where she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy. She periodically returns to NYU to assist in the interview process of prospective DPT students and as a guest speaker. Janice practiced in a private outpatient orthopedic setting, working both as a physical therapist and the director of the clinic, prior to joining the team at Riverwalk. Janice is a current member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Janice has also served as a clinical instructor charged with the on-site teaching and development of student physical therapists.
